Reapit Foundations

To create an import from Reapit you will need to first follow the instructions on how to create an import.

The next thing you’ll need to do is install an app called ‘Property Hive‘ from the Reapit Marketplace. This allows connectivity and grants permission for Houzez Property Feed to read your property data.

Note that this action must be performed by the agent, and not a developer on the agents’ behalf.

Then it’s onto setting up the import in the Houzez Property Feed plugin. When you select ‘Reapit Foundations‘ from the list of available formats you’ll be presented with a number of options:

Customer ID – Your Reapit Customer ID. This is normally a 3 letter combination (i.e. ABC) and can be obtained by contacting the Reapit support team if you’re unsure on what this is.

Only Import Updated Properties – To improve the efficiency and speed of imports, and to reduce the number of API calls (see the section below on billing), we recommend you tick this option so only new or updated properties are imported.

Sales/Lettings Statuses To Import – Here you can choose which statuses to import from Reapit. If none are selected no properties will be imported so at least one must be selected.

Billing

Some Reapit subscriptions include API usage, others don’t, so it depends on which Reapit subscription you’re on. If you’re on a subscription that doesn’t include API usage we recommend you continue reading to find out more about these charges.

How much will the monthly API charges be?

This is a hard one to answer because:

  • It depends on the number of properties being imported, how often they’re updated, how frequently you have the import set to run and how much traffic your website gets (as traffic to the site is what triggers the automatic imports).
  • The API request charges are done on a sliding scale (i.e. the more requests that are made, the cheaper each request is)
  • All API requests made across all users with the Property Hive app in the Reapit Marketplace are taken into account when Reapit calculate the costs using the above sliding scale method. Therefore, the more agents using the Reapit integration and the more requests that are made, the cheaper it becomes for all clients involved.

As a very rough guide however, current typical charges are:

  • 50 on market properties with the import set to run hourly is approximately £1.40 per month
  • 300 on market properties with the import set to run hourly is approximately £50 per month
  • 150 on market properties with the import set to run every 15 minutes is approximately £88 per month

Note: The above are just guides and should be taken as just that.

Tips on Reducing Your API Usage

1: Reduce how frequently the imports run.

2: Check the ‘Only import updated properties’ setting

3: Ensure you’re running the latest version of the Houzez Property Feed plugin. We are continuously making optimisations that may reduce the number of API requests, thus reducing monthly costs.
